Hey, Ron, did you ever have an RVN get on your ship with a leaky container of the fish oil they used to spice up their rice? Man, that was nasty!! They got that oil from letting fish dry or rot in the sun. "Papa son you are really gross!!" They would just smile.
Of course the smell we all will remember is the smell of dead NVA 24 hrs. after the fact. It didn't take long in 110 degree heat. I can still smell that in my sleep.
