Re: MARK
In Response To: MARK ()

November 21st, 1968 - I lost my brother Jack, and you lost a friend. Today I got one fuck'n picture of him to serve as a memory... That's my "vietnam". I'd live with a hundred memories of dead bloated stink'n bodies for just one of flying with Marty. One memory of sharing a cigarette or drinking a beer with him. You got those memories Jack, to me your the luckiest man walking. You all served with each other in vietnam, watched each others asses. Some of the best f'n men this country will ever know, all of you. What a priviledge. No matter what gets said on this site, it isn't gonna take any of that away. Say it like you want to. One of the things I liked best about the military was that we all knew each other on a level that was way beyond civilian life. If someone called you an asshole after a tough excercise you knew what they really meant was "thanks for all the help". No "PC", no Volvo's, no IZODS... It was get the job done or get the F out of the way.
