When we were resupplied with C-rations they would flip the carton upside down and hide the titles of the meals. Well, being a FNG I didn't have a clue where the good meals were. The guys who have been incountry awhile would grab all the good stuff and we would have to settle with the left overs. Needless to say we always got stuck with the Ham and Mother#%$@*&$.

I also recall when we had to stretch our meals and the only thing I had left was a small can of Fruitcake. Now, I really dislike Fruitcake (still do to this day) but I was so hungry at the time that the Fruitcake actually tasted great.
