Gail, my best wishes to Matt and his family. I'm sure things will be OK. It's just too bad he couldn't wrangle one of those hardship assignments. Mark's right about not messing with the ROKs though, one of our Battalion Commanders was an advisor to a ROK battalion and he told us they hated everybody equally, US, South Vietnamese, and North Vietnamese. But I'm sure they'll let him know when he gets there.
