Mark, I'll be looking forward to meeting you when you come down. I need your help to set a date for the party. Duration for the party is til the party runs out, date for the party is the open question. "Gonzo" Conrad Gonzales has indicated that he will have a problem with October since he is a teacher at a college in Alaska, so lets get some answers from the guys with respect to their preferences for the date. Bob Pearson also works for a university in Alaska and I assume that he would have the same problem. Ron Corbin, has said 2002 sounds good to him he is a pilot with a police department in Nevada. Gil "DEACON" Palmer says that he is ready and he will drive his motor home down to the party. Mike Cece and I discussed it over the phone a couple weeks ago, he sure sounds like he will be there.

Some of us are available at the drop of a hat, others have restrictions, we need to accomodate as many as possible so we can truly relive old times.

As I said before, it is over 25 miles to the nearest town with a room for rent, so we need to plan on camping or being out in the open. There is enough room for all, and I don't think that the local law enforcement knows that the place exists due to its remote location.

Beer? I'm sure that we can work something out. There is a liquor store in Annona, about 12 miles away. Electrical power may be a problem, but I think that we can work that out.

Activities? What do the people want to do? There is enough pasture to fly those ultralites that I saw mentioned on the site. There are enough trees to hang a few hundred hammocks, without fear of too much crowding. And there will be enough dry wood available for us to have a few bonfires. But outside of that, the nearest entertainment is either Dallas, TX. (130 miles) or gambling in Shreveport LA. (90 miles). Did I mention that this place was remote? Other than that there are small towns TEXARKANA,(60 miles East) and PARIS (60 miles West).

Looking forward to seeing all the members of the unit again, and we should not forget the Maintenance Support Unit that we depended on so much.

Give a shout, I am relatively footloose during the times when it will be too wet to plow, or too hot/cold to work.
