Mark, thank you for putting so much time and effort into keeping the memory of Gator 297 alive. Thank you for mentioning all the guys who have gotten in touch with us and have helped us find others who knew Marty. As large as our family was to begin with, I feel our "family" has grown two-fold in the past few months. Thank you all for being there for Mark & me and re-living old memories so we could better understand the life Marty had while in Vietnam.

Two more names have surfaced recently who we would love to hear from. These two were in Warrant Officer School at Ft. Wolters with Marty and their names come up quite often in his letters. They are Pal Flagg (who I believe I have been fortunate enough to find in Hartford - just waiting to hear back from him) and Charles "Chuck" Gilbert. Mom said she remembers Pal as being in the one and only picture we had of Marty in his uniform at graduation from Ft. Wolters. She also remembers Chuck coming to visit after Marty was killed. If anyone out there knows how to get in touch with Chuck Gilbert we would love to know about it! Thank you!!
