All this says 1 thing!
Hollywood heard what we had to say about the Viet Nam era. They are trying to best portray the events that happened over there in hopes the general public understands what happened in a war that no one understood and still make a buck or two. We were swept away into a closet and hid for years.
Now I'm just an ole' country boy and don't know a hell of a lot, but this is the way I see it as dumb as I am.
We all made it back to this point, at this time, for a reason, what, I haven't figured out, and why by blind luck, I found this sight, I have no clue.
I don't think it was by devine guidance or anything, but we are all here now.
Some of the people we knew are no longer with us. We cannot control those things but we can control what is here and now. We have what others envy and I think some, the ones that never served, realise that. We are closer knit and willing to go above and beyond to help our Brothers. No one could ever understand unless they themselves had been there. But understand, we are by all means different! Some carry a shell that the whole world could stomp on, others aren't that lucky. As we get older, we should enjoy times we can get together and see each other. Life has shown us that we're only here for a short time. It seems we have Brothers that may not want to talk to us or think we don't share the inner termoil that they themselves have . Wrong!! Again, we are hear to be there as pillars of strength. So far, I have read about 8 to 10 mens messages, that want to keep the units pride and friendships going. That excludes myself, I haven't been on site that long, nor have I had anything to do with it's origination! Mark and the guys have worked their asses of to keep the site alive and going. I play with the GRAPHICS a lot and probably abuse it, but it's all in fun. If anyone wants to talk to me about some of the stuff that's happened to them, I'll be more than glad to listen. You don't have to post a message. Just send an e-mail to me and I'll get back with you. We were all in that huge septic tank together and if we can't talk to each other, then we are unable to talk with anyone. Hell, I've been in AA and a PTSD clinic with a shrink and married 3 times to boot! So there, been there, done that. So, my Brothers, give me HELL if you like........
