Anybody remember the C-130's that got hit delivering fuel bladders up at Dak To? I **think** it was around December 67, but I am not really certain of the exact date. All you had to do was just about clear the runway at Holloway to the west and you could see the huge black clouds rising in the air.

I remember when I first saw the black smoke. I was wondering what the hell was hit. Then I finally cleared the last part of the mountain to the south of Dak To and saw the C-130's sitting there (I think there were two - definitely one, for sure).

Everyone got out of the C-130's OK, from the report I received.

Anyway, it was an interesting experience. It was really sad that they used all that C ration heating fuel at one time. I thought I was going to have to cut back on my cooking. (grin)
