Puddin, each and every one of us war heroes was a FNG, it is just that we are too old to remember that part. We all had to learn the hard way and that meant cleaning our own shorts cause mamasan wouldn't touch em! The longer we are away from those days the less we remember the trauma and the more we idealize the good times. Something about war that both bonds and rends the souls of those affected. I wouldn't trade those days for anything but to do it again....I don't think so.
