You could alsways tell who was aboard.....

Hey Y'all (I live down south now, so I'm allowed...) -

I don't know about the rest of your aviator types, but you I could always tell what kind of packs I had aboard. I wasn't real good with all the numbers and stuff, still ain't. But I could always tell by the way they "jumped."

The RA (Regular Army) types would wait until the skids hit the ground and then they would start to unass the ship. Might take a half hour (a joke!!!!).

The Cav types would start jumping at about 3' (three feet) above ground. By the time the skids hit the deck the ship was empty.

The ROK's (Republic of Korea) would start getting thrown out at 6' (six feet) above the ground. By the time we were at 3' the ship was empty. With the ROK's we did a basic "fly by" through the LZ.

Then there were the Green Berets. They went in and came out on McGuire rigs. (ha, ha, ha - it's a joke!).
