I lost a mailbag around lz hardtimes-we had just picked it up at a NDP-and we had a hard bank left-and out it went-I was sick-and begged my ac to drop me down and let me search for it- but it was getting dark-and he said he could not risk it-so called the grunts and gave them the postion-they were to look for it at 1st light-never did know the outcome-broke my heart-felt as bad as losing someone.Worse part,in all my days,never even lost a box of c-rats,ammo,etc. out the door-had to be the mailbag-felt like losing a man.
