Dave, I never lost a mailbag but I did lose a mermite can and the dog that was sitting on it at about 2,000 feet. Never knew who the dog belonged to and didn't feel too bad about the mermite can, it was full! Saved someone a stomach ache! While flying attached to the ROK just outside Lane Army Airfield I witnessed two suspected V.C. being inserted in a L.Z., only trouble was the L.Z. was about three thousand feet below. There was one V.C. that decided not to go gliding and settled for a long conversation with the ROC intel officer. No wonder they never attacked the South Koreans....
