I might get hell for this, but I actually had more respect for the NVA then I did for the ARVINs. At least they were committed to their cause. All I ever remember were being screwed over by the gooks. Either picking your pocket or selling some worthless piece of junk. But maybe that's because of the way the war was run.

Does anybody ever remember them telling us to win the war? I have racked my brain on that one and never recall that phrase once. I think I started losing faith after the Plei-Trap. I remember sitting at Dak To in June 69 after the 4th had pulled out of there and the ARVINs were now in charge. All the garbage we went through during 1966 to 1968 and this was the end result.

We didn't lose the war. We were never meant to win it. I think that's what was being said during Desert Storm. And hopefully never again will any army of the United States be faced with that. Sorry. Just had to say that.
