I just received some mail from another 11B20 who was with D/3/8 during Mar 69. His name is Bryon Adams from Ga. I've been very lucking to talk to these people. My view from above was impaired by the trees but the hell these guys went through is unbelieviable.
The movie "Soldiers" maybe about the 1st Cav but I believe any of the valleys, Idrang, Plei-Trap or Ashau were proabally the same. Too many bad guys with good equipment just waiting for us to show up. After you see it go see it again. The second time you see it will as a person and not the person who sat in the gun well of a Huey. It's good to be reminded that we were able to have a life after our tours. Later.
