Guys,

I got in trouble with the Ghost Riders Operations Officer and Commander. I flew one of their birds for about five hours one morning, returned to Holloway for lunch, and found that the engine deck was covered with oil from a leak on the side of the engine. I grounded the aircraft, the maintenance officer said put in three quarts of oil, clean the deck and take it out again. I said that the leak was from the engine, and I have grounded the aircraft. I went to the OPNS Shack and ran into some O-3 and their CO. They called me a "no-flying son-of-a-bitch", and a few other names. When I asked where their pilots were they said that they were all at 140 hours for the last 30 day period and they were grounded. I told them that I had over 180 hours for the last 30 days, and that I was flying for them out of the kindness of my heart. Then, I told them to go get their pilots out of the damn club so that they can support their own damn missions. THEY GOT PISSED, I told them to call my OPS, and MAJ Campbell. They followed me across the active to the OPS OFFICE cussing me and the 119th for being "NO-FLYING SON-OF-A-BITCHES". Once in our OPNS shack (and a lot of noise from the two of them), they were told that I had 187 hours in the last 30 days and that they needed to shut up and go get their unit back in the air. I was given the rest of the day off.

I don't think our unit sent another pilot to support that Unit for covering their mission.
