Take a hard look at some of the recent posts here and maybe you will figure it out? Some of the comments and unit insults have probably chased away old friends and gained no new friends. People may not want to get involved with people who insult others. Just for starters, posts here insult the 4th ID, the 52d CAB, the 189th, and 361st, among others. Is that what brothers and comrades do?

Not everyone sees the Vietnam War as a 1967-70 war with the 119th having the only decent air crews like a couple of the comrades here do. It's okay to be proud, but you don't shit on fellow vets or their units. Other people in dozens of other army units over a dozen plus years have made as many if not more sacrifices and under adverse conditions and they lost good friends in Vietnam too.

Posts here insult people and other units, and by doing so they also dishonor the dead and their memories with needless hash smoking bullshit. It gives Vietnam Vets the very image many have been trying to change and they don't want to read about the 'few bad apples' anymore. If that's what you enjoy doing, then I doubt if you will gain new friends or anyone's respect. And, why would anyone want to "connect" or meet in Texas after reading them?
