Re: Different Times
In Response To: Different Times ()

I came staight from the 57th as soon as we hit Pleiku Air Force Base. Was in the derose shuffle, served 10 mos. with the 119th before I was derosed to the 155th. Talk about fuzzy memory and feeling like a step-child!! The only real Brothers I had were the 119th. You guys took me in and helped me along and taught me the important things I needed to know. To me, you were the only family I had during my time in the service. I was an instructor at Eustis and didn't like that. Training from a lesson plan that took into consideration nothing about the elements they were about to go into and the different type of care the aircraft was going to require, so I quite and went into Special Services as a Staff Artist for the Posts Functions and advertising the special events. Got tired of that and went into the Honor Guard there. Did that Chrome Pot, White Ladder Lace, Burgundy Ascott with the Brade and all. Did that until I could get back ,to Nam. Did not like the State Side Bull very much and asked to go back. I spent the last of my duties in the service with a second tour in Phu Loi outside of Siagon with the 128th. It was almost like R&R.
So now, if one fuzzy memoried person can help another let me know. The only thing I am for sure of, I wore O.D. for 3 years and was associated with some of the best men at Camp Holloway in the 119th.
