I don't know where that story came from; and I never heard it. The mission was Hash and Trash until that last sortie, which of course was not planned. I also don't know about any three rounds; there very well could have been several more than the one I "focused" on. But Warren did bleed out, and it took about 6 minutes. The last thing he said was "I'm done for, boys." It was very quiet and very calm, yet I hear it clearly nearly every day. The rest of the story seems pretty much a fantasy to me.

I always wondered what happened to the LRRP guys we "abandoned", 'cause we left in a hurry and took the medics with us. I surely hope that didn't cause any more deaths; but there was nothing else we could have done.
