I think we all had some hair raising experiences in the LZs. I lost one and it was a day extraction . He got shot off the ladder as he was getting on. I will never forget leaving him lying there, not moving. The hell of it they wouldn't let me go down to secure him on the ladder. It was one of the SF jobs and they were under fire. That made me feel bad when his own guys said leave him. What made it really bad for me, he was one of the ones I drank and partied with up at Dak Pek!!
