I know from being derosed, that the flights I had with the 119th Pilots were the best I had ever been on as far as Combat missions, well, all missions. The guys I flew with down in Ban Me Thout just didn't stand up to the 119th. They seem to know the envelope of the Hueys capabilities and somehow managed to get a little more. All this and without scaring the hell out of you. They just seemed to have had the special touch with that aircraft that no others had!!
As far as credits given, well as far as I'm concerned, there wasn't a one given the credit they deserved!! They, no matter what they wore on the collar, was in control, and well, their word to me was final! All I'm saying is, I'm trully greatful for all the pilots we had. They were the best and I owe my six to all of them!!!!!!!!!!
