I've been reading your postings about the Hardbars and WOs with great interest, as a neutral observer, and thought I would throw this in. I had sent the following to Mark Herring for his website a couple of years ago, and a little while later got an email from WO Lee Westbrook, one of the 119th pilots who was there when the incident took place. He was wondering out loud exactly what LT Shelton and the rest of the crew did to also be awarded the Silver Star.
