Re: One Pilot's Perspective
In Response To: One Pilot's Perspective ()

To drop into one of our so-called landing zones took alot more talent then anyone can imagine. The day we pulled Task Force Alpha out of the Plei-Trap we came in at tree top level as fast as we could and then the pilot flared the ship and we dropped into the clearing like a rock. We had to come in from several directions because of all the fire we were receiving. For the pilots to sit and do what I told them to do as we were hovering into one of those holes or hold the ship just above the trees as we tried to locate somebody on the ground today seems unreal to me. The guys in the back were always busy doing something but the guys up front would have to sit there while all the stuff was going on around them. I'm glad you guys were up front.
