I don't know about the rest of you but this will be my first real adventure since Nam. I have lived my life pretty much alone after my son's went on their own. I fit the PTSD profile to a tee. I am nervous in large groups of people, I get hyper-vigilant in strange surroundings, loud noises or smells that remind me of Nam can trigger flashbacks which are not pretty. I know I must make this trip as it may be the last time I get a chance to see so many brothers from the unit. I have already tried to talk myself out of going several times but my therapist at the V.A. says I need this trip. So bear with me and know that I will probably be the guy yelling "incomming" at three in the morning!
