On shut down if the main rotor blades stopped directly in line with the ship the enlisted owed the pilots a case of beer. If the main rotor stopped 90 degrees across the ship the pilots owed us a case of beer. We had many agruements as to how perfect the angle had to be if it actually happened.

The tail stinger was always in play as was blade strikes if we didn't clear the ship while in a hover hole. I remember having the pilots come down very slow so we could chop a small tree down as we dropped into the hole so we could get to the ground. That was considered a no foul on our part.

I think most of the time we fought over things in the C-Ration case and how to divide up the cigarettes out of the SP packages. I didn't drink beer while I was over there and besides the garbage we ended up with wasn't that good. I think Black Label was the prize. I do remembering getting bottles of Jack Daniels and that was worth it's weight in gold.
