** I know we had a FEW "snoop and poopers" WAY out there even in the mid-fifties. **

No question, Lump.

Laos and Cambodia = Whole different story. The way we abandoned our friends in Laos was criminal. You ever read "The Ravens?" CIA air force in Laos, good book, great story.

My 3 mos. in the RON tent in Dak To, we took over the "top" (entry end) of the tent, and the bottom end had different guys in the cots every night; usually came and went by King Bee or plain-wrapper fixedwing, wore madras shirts and jeans, carried unorthodox weapons. I don't recall ever having a conversation with a single one of them.

Tent wasn't exactly water-tight; about once a month one of 'em would have trouble sleeping with the light on and just shoot the durn thing out with his Swedish K.

Honest.

Bob
