Uncommon Valor

I wanted to do this yesterday, but this ol 'puter was givin me fits- its better now...

I just wanted to put in my two bits for Americans.

On the radio news yesterday I heard that Dubya
held a ceremony for the Posthumous Award of the Congressional Medal of Honor for two Heroes.

I regret I didn't catch the names, but -

A WWII Army Field Surgeon gave his life for his patients when his surgery tent was overrun by the enemy he picked up a weapon, and did his best.

He was shot twenty-two times before he expired.
The Huns shot him over fifty more thereafter.

He still held his weapon when he was found.

The second was a chopper pilot from our war, and he crashed and was the sole survivor.

Being overrun, he was still reporting locations of enemy positions to Tacair when he lost his life.

Two more American Heroes. I'm sure their names will come more to light in the coming days.

May they rest forever in Peace.
