In Response To: 5/6/67 ()

Tom,

At that moment the world changed forever. Somewhere there was the loss of a brother, son and maybe a father. It became your job to remember that moment so some day the world would not forget it.

Those moments repeated itself over 58,000 times during the war. And for each of them someone was given the job to remember. That is why I think we made it home. To remember and to hope that our children would not have to ever endure the horror that war is.

That long black wall were the hopes and dreams of our generation that ever never realized. That day is the most important day of your tour. The army taught us how to fight but they never trained us how to cope after it was over. We all carry the load, it's just some do it differently then others.

As you stand at the "Wall" remember we are all there with you. May our brothers and sisters know they will never be forgotten.
