In response to Carls expressing concern about getting ahold of more of the 119th for the reunion:
If U would like me to get a blurb about the reunion in the military pubs., let me know today. It may already be too late, but will find out. Will post any "blurb" I give them on here for approval prior to contacts.

Don't know about the entire make up of the 119th at Pleiku, but know that there are many semi-illiterate vets out there in their 50's who don't use computers and seldom read. Some will use those magazines for reunions/searches often hoping to find someone who knew them. Those who can't read sometimes get buddies to read those sections for them.

My husband was literate and a 'copter mechanic but I had to read most things like this and do his research because his mind was too boggled with VA meds. most of the time.

Being a reading specialist working with new recruits, I know how services lowered their standards considerably in the late 60's. I met a lot of near illiterate men reading at grade 1 level. Had to try and teach them to read basic signs before sent to VN.

Then, again, maybe the 119th didn't get any of these...????
