Utility Tactical Transportation (UTT) arrived RVN on 10/03/62. From it’s beginning, it was assigned to the 145th Combat Aviation Battalion, which was located at Tan Son Nhut. The UTT was stationed at Soc Trang. On 08/15/64 the UTT was re-designated the 68th Aviation Company (Assault Helicopter); this was just a name change, as the personnel, equipment, and mission remained the same.
