Mark, Have you checked Texarkana? It would be much closer. Also, Shreveport has a commercial airport and it may be a little closer than Dallas. However, if it is only a few miles closer it won't be worth the hassle because you will find it much easier (and cheaper) to fly into DFW or Love Field (Dallas).
