Once again we roll around to Marty's birthday. Wish he were here to blow out the candles - although at this point he'd be getting up to "fire hazard" status! He would love that - he always was a bit of a firebug....

We have a wonderful "family tribute" to him this year. Our sister in Australia (the baby of the family!), Jane, had a baby boy born at 12:30 AM (I know it's really 00:30!) on June 2nd (on the Australian calendar so we found out yesterday, June 1st - don't think about it too long, you'll fry some brain cells!!!). She didn't actually plan it that way, the baby was four weeks early (still weighed in at over 7lbs!) but it worked out well as everyone is doing fine.

So, Happy Birthday, Marty. The Family lives on with you in mind! A toast to you and to Jane!
