It's about a 2 1/2 hour drive from my place to NYC. Actually OCtober 16th is about the same time I was planning on driving to Michigan for a short visit with my son and to catch up with some old friends out there I haven't seen since I moved back to New England almost 10 years ago! Talk about timing.....

Besides - driving to NYC is not high on my list of favorite things to do - I won't even drive into Hartford unless it's a matter of life and death and Hartford takes up about 1 block of NYC! I could always take the limo service in.... :-)
