You would hate yourself afterword for missing all the fun. Rotor strikes included. I am living proff that a Huey main rotor can take 6" off of a 1'dameter stump in Laos and still make it back to Dakto. I will say that the bird was shaking worse than a dog sh*#+#*ing bones. Adds a hole new meaning to a severe 1 to 1 vibration. The SF Team we were picking up had to take the second bird. The two Crocs supporting us had to fly circles just to keep from getting ahead of us. We could not pull pitch or go over 40 knots. That is the one time in my entire tour that the AC asked me what we should next. Talk about feeling special!!

I think the NVA thought we were trying to draw fire.
