Pleiku was headquarters for almost all of the 119th's existence, Al. A few months here or there or elsewhere is details for a company history, but I don't think for a plaque.

When Camp Holloway opened, it was just the 119th. (Actually the 81st Trans Co, but let's not go there, either. Once you open that up, we need to add the 545th Maintenance Detachment, the Avionics detachment, the Med outfit, etc. I'm not saying they shouldn't be there, I'm saying there simply isn't room.) And there wouldn't be enough space on the plaque to list the entire "AO" (Area of Operations). Quin Nhon - Dalat - Attapeu - Dak Pek - Mang Buk, etc.

My opinion? "Pleiku" says: "The Highlands."

Maybe others have a different opinion? I'm not tied to anything at this point.
