Dig a hole 2' deep. then form a shelf at about the 18" level. Cut a board to fit the hole across the shelf. Pound nails through the board. Cut the board 5/8th of the way through from the end opposite the points of the nails and side to side. Place the board, points up into the hole resting on the shelf. Cover with camaflage materials from area. Wait for cries and screams of pain. Persue person who tripped the trap. this should be easy since they can not run too far or fast with boards attached to both sides of their ankles. Apply alcohol to injury to prevent infection and increase discomfort. Ask any questions as bottle of alcohol is suspended, ready to pour the second time. Accomplices will then be identified as will identifying information on the perpetrator.

Complete interrogation, er INTERVIEW with the comment "Glad you didn't trip the other booby traps, they are a lot worse." Garden will then be safe from further trespassing by either the perpetrator or others with whom he/she may converse.

Claymores, Arc Lights, Atty, and CAS are both too noisy and expensive. Swift, silent, and effective is the only way to go.
