Bob, They used the things for heavy lift. It was like knocking out a truck, road grader, crane and bulldozer all at once. It hauled heavy guns, Ammo and moved huge logs for bunkers. If it had strap marks, it had to be done. Not many were killed, but blame the VC, Not the shooters. They are the ones who brought dumbo into the war.
