Did anyone notice? the 1/35th posted the location as follows:

"0946 hours (U) DELAYED ENTRY - On 23 May 69 at 0940 hours B Co to TOC: B Co's 86 element found remains of downed chopper at grid ZA064245, tail #16583"

The DIA data says the location was:
South Vietnam
UTM grid coordinates: ZA027236
close but some distance away. ( like a half Klick or so)
wonder if it was moved? dropped? Map Misread?
I can't feature the grunts mis-reading a map by that much. Their butts depended on ACCURATE readings and Artillery fire.
Also note that the gold book said it was at Ft Sill in 6803 when in fact it was down in 'nam. My bet is the Year numbers 67 and 68 in the tail numbers got mixed up in the army gold book records and our bird is down. Lord knows where the 68 bird is.
