I might have doubted the location if the time was in the middle of the afternoon and there were no land marks. Early morning and a river what more could you ask for. My only question is why it wasn't destroyed by arty or air. If the ship didn't burn and it was not recovered it should have been destroyed. Maybe the loss location is the reason it was found of the 1/35th and not destroyed when it went down.
