A guy was driving his fully restored, classic 1965
Pontiac GTO through Arkansas and had stopped to get some gas. When he cam out from paying for the gas he observed an elderly couple looking at his car and commenting on how beautiful it was. The old man looked inside and said, "Yep, I told you. It does have one of those Arkansas transmissions." The old lady looked inside and said, "Yep, it sure nuff does."

The owner being very curious went up to the couple and thanked them for the comments they had made about his car and said, " I do have one questions though. Would you mind telling me what an Arkansas transmission is?"

The old guy laughed and said, "Oh no problem. That's one of those shiftless bastards."
