Re: eBay
In Response To: eBay ()

Yep, Lump's right, that's me hangin' out there all exposed and 'green'! I saw that Blue Flight patch the other day and just HAD to have it! Wasn't registered for e-Bay and that turned into a real farce --- took four days and 15 e-mails to finally get the "confirmation" email back from them.

"Bluegator25" is my hotmail username. I tried to get "Gator 25", but that was already taken. I thought that might be one of the previous "Gator 25's", and sent an email; but got no response. I thought it might be CW2 Richard "Shermie" Sheman, the one before me, but then I found he died a couple of years ago out in California. Stopped hunting for "Gator25" after that.

I, too, feel the 119th's "things" should not be casual collector's items. They are ours, paid for in sweat, blood, tears, fear, terror, boredom, anquish, exhilaration, and just about any other emotion one could experience. They belong in the family, and I believe the guys who were in the other units most likely feel the same way about their unit "memorabilia". Maybe I'm wrong. I would bid on patches from some of the other units from the 52 CAB, and even units some good friends were in, like C/3/17 Cav. So maybe I shouldn't be too provincial myself.
