I do a lot of bid-purchasing on Ubid.com, and use a similar process there. I had so much trouble getting a "confirmation email" when I tried to sign up for the auction of this patch last week and missed the end of the auction period, that I just felt I had to get one bid in early in this one. Also, on Ubid, if multiple items are in a lot, and several bidders all bid the same amount, the bidders with the earliest original auction-entry bids get preference; so it is important there to enter an auction early. E-bay is clearly a horse of a different color.

I also found at Ebay, a beautiful Piper Navajo, and a couple of Model A and T pickups I really like. Now if I can just get momma to give me the combo to her piggy bank ...
