A brother-in-law of my son-in-law has a Bro with the ATF- he (the brother-in-law) asked how far away the Sniper must be firing from- the Bro sez-
"we have a good idea, but can't tell ya"-- seems he's firing from a lot longer distance than is presumed by the Press and general public- and they DON'T suspect he's in a white van or truck- he's a skilled sniper, possibly in place for a long time, assesses his selected target area, and WAITS FOR THE PRESENCE OF A WHITE BOX TRUCK OR VAN....(they're EVERYWHERE) then squeezes off only one round... hits.... then makes a quick, but stealthy escape....

Also, I ran into a buddy today I worked with for almost five years at Wells Fargo- retired COMBAT 95B (MP)- he's a bit rough, but a helluva thinker- his assessment is that this guy may not be a trained "sniper", but a sneaky-pete-type who knows how to get in- sit still, and get out- without being seen...
