Other than us, you're the only one it makes a difference to at this point, Bilbee, because yer the only one of us still in. I hope somebody can help you out.

I was only there for a year, and I only flew for 6 months or so, but you wanna know how many Air Medals they coughed up for me? Zero. Not the first one, not the last one. Does it make any difference? No. If I were still in, it would make a big difference to me. I ain't, and it don't.

Also, I know what I did, I know what BonBon did, I know, and we all know, what all of us did: what guys like Eggy did, what guys like Shifty did, what guys like Shakey did, and that's all that really counts.

The fat lifers who stole our logged hours and our blood so they could draw flight pay without flying are the bad guys. The fat lifers who traded our flight hours and our blood to dirtbag profiteers for air conditioners and plywood and all the stuff like that were the problem.

"Promotion Points" were king, and the fat guys would do anything to get them.

Thank goodness the good guys, the good NCOs, guys like you, prevailed, and through the 70s and 80s, finally fixed it. Thank Bilbee for fixing it.

Also, by the way, anybody ever tells you their Vietnam records were lost in the fire at St Louis, they are LYING. The St. Louis Records Center web site will tell you exactly what records were lost. Vietnam? Nah.
