Bob,

Have you ever seen Dzus fasteners on anything other then a helicopter. Besides that, they were always breaking or falling off the ship.

While in flight the phrase "OH SHIT!" never meant something good just happened.

The phrase "OH WHAT THE HELL" meant we are about to do something really stupid!

Why didn't anybody shot at us while we were in a "Free-Fire Zone"?

Combat damage meant somebody did shot at us and didn't miss.

Post flight meant the crew chief working in the dark by himself with a flashlight.

Pre flight meant the crew chief working in the dark with the peter pilot was getting in his way and the rest of the crew drinking coffee with a flashlight.

Auto Rotation was actually a semi-controled crash.

A Hard Landing was an auto rotation without the semi-controled part.

I was never shot down, but I did have several unscheduled landings because certain componets needed for flight were no longer functioning in the manner in which they were suppose to.

Why did they call it a "Mess Hall"? The food never started out that way until the cooks got a hold of it.
