Bob,

The 1/14 was also included in the swap (1/14, 1/35 & 2/35) Aug '67. When my tour began (9/68) I was assigned with the 4th Inf. Div and never realized that my Bn (1/35) had been originally assigned with the 25th Inf. Div. Learned that 30+ years after I returned home. By the way, the Bn CO who hit the rotor blade was with the 2/35th. But we did have a Bn CO for the 1/35th who was relieved of duty because of the of the Chu Pa Mountain operation "Operation Sledgehammer" in Jan '69 in which two of the 1/35th companies (A & D) were really decimated and a Dust-Off was shot down trying to remove the wounded.
