When I got to the 119th in Dec '66 we supported the 3rd Brigade 25th Infantry Div. which was based in the highlands prior to the arrival of the 4th division main elements. In Janurary '67 the 3rd Brigade 25th moved to the coastal area west of Qui Nhon to participate in operation Theyer II.
We supported them out of Lane Airfield and LZ uplift while west of qui nhon. Col Shanahan was in charge of the 3rd brigade at that time. In early '67 flags changed places and troops became parts of other units. I heard the 3rd/25th became a part of the newly forming Americal but it could have been assigned to the 4th. After about March I don't remember seeing them again as we started working special ops and with the 4th Div in the Pleiku/ Dakto AO.
