2. Report back to Gator HQ NO LATER THAN 2400 hrs.

AFTER ACTION REPORT (AAR)

SGT MAHAN departed HOR at or about 1100hrs. 27 Oct 2002. Headed east on I30 to LZ Huey. Upon
approaching main gate I saw that it was locked.
So I went to the place next door and asked the lady if she had seen Bro. Dave. She said no not for a week or so. I then asked her for the combination to the lock and she told me. I unlocked the gate and drove down the dirt road. As I turned by the lake I could see his car and truck. I said to myself this is not good. When I got to the door it was real quite. I knocked and no answer. I checked the doorand it was locked so I knocked again but harder. This time I could hear movement inside.
I waited not knowing what I was going to see.
When the door opened a pale and sick looking man
was standing there. It was Dave. I said "DAVE WERE HAVE YOU BEEN?" And he Said Willie Come on in and sit down. He told me about the kidney stones he was passing for the last four days. He looked bad but I think he will be OK. I DID NOT KICK HIS BUTT as HE'S ALOT BIGGER THEN I AM. I stayed and talked for about an hour and came on home. 398 miles round trip. It was worth it. We all need to check on each other a lot.
