Most landing preformed by new peter-pilots would sometimes be considered a controled-crash. Come to think of it any time we landed our gunship and we still had ammo on board there could be considered a semi-controled crash.

I can remember during the monsoon, with four trays of mini gun ammo and 14, ten pound rockets, old JC or Pigpen bouncing the ship the length of the runway hoping to hit transitional lift before we ran out of runway. Wouldn't you have to call that a semi-controled take-off?
