That's some strange stuff. I was sitting in the 1/22 TOC the night of 3 May on FSB Niagara and word came down from Brigade that we were to pack up the next morning and get ready to go back to Ah Khe. We knew where we where going but the grunts weren't suppose to know. The next morning, the word spread on the FSB was that we were going home. Little did they know. They probably figured out that we weren't going home the night of the 5th though, when they told everybody we were flying to Pleiku on AF transports the next morning. As far as I know, everybody from the 1/22 went.
