Parade

We Were in the Ft Worth Veterans day parade today. The parade was about 2 miles long and had numerous bands, ROTC units, Navy and Marine units, Re-enacters from all wars along with about a platoon of WW2 recon Vehicles. The local chapter of the VHPA joined with the the Texas chapter of the VA and the National Vietnam War Museum and we had 4 choppers. A UH-1,cobra, OH-6A and an OH-58A A all armed with authentic weapons. The Cobra, loach and huey were 'Nam vets. They were on trailers pulled behind pick-up trucks and vans and they were manned by pilots and crews. We had VHPA, MUSEUM and VVA banners on the choppers and were filmed by local TV channel 8. The parade lasted about an hour and afterwards we met at the 8.0 club in central Fort Worth and had food and beverages at the outdoor cafe.
A really enjoyable and patrotic day.

PS, I took a ton of pics I will post a few as time permmits.
